Recognizing Employee Excellence – Keeping Business Integrity
My life coach, Shandel Slaten of True Life Coaching, states that integrity is Words, Thoughts and Actions being in alignment. That is extremely important in my company as well as the companies we serve.
For me, how would our customers feel if we promised their awards would get there on a certain date, but we didn’t fulfill on our promise? That would be a major breach in our core values and our integrity. So to keep our integrity, our staff does what it takes to keep our word in delivery dates, accuracy and quality.
As it pertains to our customers, I feel that awards and recognition products helps them keep integrity with their employees. Most companies value their employees above most everything else. To be in alignment with that value and keep integrity with their workers, it is important to keep them happy and performing at a high level. This includes giving them incentive to excel, acknowledging them for a job well done and maintaining a high level of morale.
My wish for employers, especially in these uncertain times, is to make sure that their employees are appreciated for their contributions to the company. Even if your company is struggling or downsizing, it is important to keep your staff’s sense of worth and contribution up. This can be accomplished by kind words, gifts, contests, or recognition. While our company specializes in corporate awards and one of my goals is to sell more of them, my main point is for people to get recognized for a job well done.

Recognizing Corporate Achievement through the use of Sales Awards
Especially in trying times, it is extremely important to keep both morale and sales up. When one or the other (or even both) are down, a company and its employees suffer a financial or emotional loss. This is because expectations are not being met. Some expectation that employees have are; to come to work, be safe, do a good job, be compensated AND to not be miserable. Corporate management often looks past the morale in favor of the bottom line. Sales goals are key to the company’s financial success – when they are not being met, the company’s suffers and misses the financial expectations of the owners or shareholders.
Imagine if there was a tool that you could use to enhance both employee morale and company sales. Wouldn’t that be pretty cool? Well, there is. Consider sales awards and sales contests. Since 2009 has just begun, the timing is perfect to start a program that awards outstanding sales achievement. This can take the form of a friendly contest or formal program. Rewards for any of these can take many different forms. Cash or gift cards work in that they provide incentive to the winners. If you want to improve morale and make it a more exciting and fun event, consider rewarding the winners with sales awards. We have many different sales awards to choose from. Actually we have just created a new sales awards category with a selection of some of our favorites. If you realize you know what type of sales awards you want to present, we have a larger selection of awards to choose from in these categories: acrylic awards, plaques, crystal awards, corporate gifts and achievement trophies.
While the cost of the awards can vary, my suggestion is to keep the award proportional to the achievement. If the program is year-long and significant, make the award nicer. If it is a fun or informal awards, there is not a need to overspend.
It is amazing what sales awards can accomplish. In addition to providing a fun incentive, comaraderie is built within your company. The winners feel great in that their accomplishments are recognized. The company wins because sales performance is enhanced. Sales awards are a win-win for everyone.
Whether your sales award program is small or large, informal or formal, we are here to make your awards special. Visit us today for your awards needs! We have great engraved retirement gifts, too!
