Congratulations to Coach Conlon and the parents of his players for working togther to successfully provide a positive youth athletic experience for their kids.

Too often these situations can result in a negative experience for some of the families on the team, especially when you consider at this age, a coach frequently has as many as 15 players and 30-40 parents, step parents and grandparents to manage. This can be a tall order for a parent-volunteer with little or no training or preparation.

So my hat's off to Coach Conlon for a job well done.

Time to get ready for soccer season, Coach. ;-)

I couldn't agree more - it is an honor to be associated with individuals like this. Last winter I wrote about my experience with some coaches who mentored my son in basketball with the same sentiments and throught I would share it with you.

I would love your thoughts/comments on my post.

We give all of our kids at the basketball club a trophy for turning up week in week out for practice whether they are any good or not. They deserve it for the effort they put in. Of course we also reward the better players and improving players with something a little more special. This is also something that all of the kids can asprie too. Trophie are great and if we had the selection of trophies that you offer in the UK then my life would be so much easier. This site was a magnificent find for my club.
