At least in the Seattle and Bellevue area, the youth basketball season is just beginning.  This marks my 22nd year in the awards industry.  Although there have been many changes in technology and products in the recent past, some things remain the same.

To me, basketball is a great combination of team effort and individual performance.  Skills are taught at an early age and developed throughout elementary school.  Although some kids play basketball continue playing throughout middle and high school, it is truly amazing to watch the little tykes learn the game.  I hear many stories of attitude and skill improvements.  Countless volunteers and parents help kids learn valuable life lessons such as hard work and teamwork.  These skills are a great foundation for the kids in the development of their school work and help prepare them for the real world.
